I had a very busy day at work today! Whew!
That is PB and Strawberry J on a whole wheat bagel thin that I scarfed down before I left for a meeting at 8:30.
I didn’t get back from meetings until 11:30. I was starving.
A big homemade side salad, and a cup of “southwestern chicken orzo” soup. It’s homemade from a place in the farmer’s market…but it wasn’t very “southwestern-y”. Still tasty.
Oh…and a piece of french bread that comes with the soup!
Yesterday’s snack in the parking lot of the dentist’s office gave me such an awesome workout, I repeated it today. A kashi granola bar smeared with peanut butter, and a clementine.
It did a great job again today!
I had originally intended to do 20 minutes of HIIT + lower body strength + abs today, but DH needed me home at 6pm for an estimate on new windows for the house.
I had one hour at the gym.
So here’s what I did:
20 minutes hard cardio on the stationary bike
Circuits, alternating all of these exercises. I did the circuit 3 times through, with 12 reps of each exercise. After I’d completed one single circuit, I took 1 minute of rest/water break.
- Jackknife (on your back) with ball pass (I’m going to have to scan this one in…it’s hard!)
- Front lunge with barbell
- Russian twist on stability ball
- Medicine Ball Squat 8 lb. medicine ball
- Flutter kicks
- Froggy Kick 3×10…I can’t find this online. I’ll have to scan it in.
- Decline bench reverse crunch
It was a tough workout!!
55 minutes even = 450 calories burned. Not.bad.at.all!
I threw a pork roast studded with garlic cloves in the crockpot this morning, so that’s what we had. It was tasty. Served with green beans (canned…because I can’t get fresh from my farmer right now) and brown rice.
Probably another 1/2 of a cupcake. DH and I have been splitting one every night. LOL
